15 schools on 5 continents

UWC schools, colleges and programmes deliver a challenging and transformative education experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future. UWC has 14 schools and colleges across 5 continents all with distinctive characters but sharing the same mission, ethos and values.

Although strong academic achievement is valued highly at UWC, academic achievements are put into perspective with a demanding mix of community engagement, international affairs, physical activities and creative pursuits. They are non-denominational and attract a diverse student body, most of whom attend on a full scholarship. Read more about UWC here.

Scholarships for Sudanese students and refugees

Places in UWC are offered on a competitive basis. Around the world, national selection committees lead transparent and competitive selection processes, following the guidelines and values of the UWC organization, to select students for the schools and colleges.

Between 3 and 6 scholarships are offered every year to Sudanese and refugee students by the national committee in Sudan. Several evaluators carefully review each application. From all eligible and complete applications, a short list is chosen for group interviews and individual interviews, which are held in Khartoum. Once the Selection Process is complete, the Selection Committee in Sudan will nominate the selected Scholars for enrollment at the United World Colleges. The Colleges will always support the discretion and opinion of the country-based Selection Committees, but they reserve the right to question or reject a nomination.
